I've only had my Sony clock radio for iPod for a few days, but I must say I am very impressed with him and consider it a great value. It 'was very easy to set up straight from the box. As promised, came at the right time (EDT) as soon as I connected iPod operation was simple and intuitive. I have an iPod Classic, and out with the iPod Click Wheel (closed I think the controls when it's in my bag) for iPod, the cute little remote control all the menus. In particular I waspleased with how well the FM Radio, loud and clear, with no reception problem (always rode my old radio station and I had to relocate the contantly FM). I took my three regular music / news stations and lock them in the right of the presets. I had some 'problems setting up the alarm, only to realize later today that the reason does not go away, as expected, this morning was that I neglected to turn indeed! Lightbulb moment. I like the fact thatI can wake up once and let MF weekends.
The best thing is, of course, the sound quality. It 'clear, strong and full. I felt a medieval music today and was very happy with the Clarion clay and impressed with the fullness of the sound played at a moderate level. I have not tried the lower settings yet, but since (a) is in my bedroom, and (b) I do not feel too much bass thumping music in any case, I'm not too worried.
A minor annoyance: Sony (and Philips as iHome) Suppose we have the dock small plastic adapter that came with your iPod close at hand. The Sony comes with two dock adapters for iPhone and iTouch, but not the normal iPod. I do not know where this little piece of plastic that II received with my iPod a year ago? Um, no. Really, they could not just another pair of plastic adapters that probably cost to buy a huge 5 cents, or create to add? Fortunately, the great classic sits on the dock without a plug adapter. But, really?
A small but beautiful thing: When I bought the other day, has just arrived from an external web site, Electronic Express, not directly from Amazon. Not only the EE, no tax levy (the resident NYState AmazonCommissions I) is not free shipping. But the best part is that there was a full day before their first estimated delivery time came. I was pretty satisfied. Now I see a product in Amazon Prime and a few dollars more. How strange that changes from day to day.
